Who Into the Woods was Created For

The Hero who is Starting Over

Into the Woods: A Guide Through Your Hero’s Journey was created for the individual whose life changed unexpectedly and without much warning. This could be due to a sudden job loss, a relationship ending, or something that was once important to you in life no longer being accessible. This could leave you feeling frustrated, confused, or stuck on how to start over. Starting over can feel like an impossible task when life is asking something new from you. Into the Woods provides you with the roadmap in order to navigate the impossible.

This self-development coaching program is designed for the individual who desires for their life to change or improve in some way, but is afraid or unsure on how to begin that process. There could be fears of failure with doing things differently or a hesitation with separating from a life that feels stagnant, yet tolerable. And ultimately, there could be a feeling of not "being ready." Taking a leap of faith can be a de-stabilizing time. We know that the life we're living no longer fits, but what we want from the future still looks unclear.  Into the Woods provides you with the space to navigate this in-between.

If you're feeling stuck in a place or situation you're ready to move beyond, this journey was created to support you in taking the next step forward. This could be feeling stuck in behavior patterns, stuck in personal or professional spaces, or ultimately stuck in a life that is no longer serving you. When we continue to interact with the same routines, the same beliefs, and the same expectations repeatedly, it can feel like we are living out Groundhogs Day. Stepping into the same situations over and over, with no idea on how to break the cycle. Into the Woods provides a roadmap to end out these repeating cycles of life.

Reaching a new milestone can be an exciting time! It can also be a challenging one when we step into something new, and find ourselves having difficulty adjusting to our new normal. When we enter a new chapter in life, we have so much hope for our future. This could be moving to a new city, starting a new career or job position, starting a business from the ground up, or becoming a parent. And when it starts not turning out like we thought it would, it could start to feel like we potentially made a wrong decision. Or perhaps that we weren't cut out for this new experience. If you are relating to this experience, then Into the Woods: A Guide Through your Hero's Journey was built with you in mind.

Every hero eventually reaches a moment where they recognize they can no longer stay where they are. The purpose of this program is to provide a roadmap for navigating the adversity, uncertainty, and obstacles that often accompany growth and transformation.

And together, we'll learn how to step outside our comfort zones to reach our goals of success and authenticity. With knowledge, skill, and the resilience to move us forward.

What Into the Woods Is

Into the Woods is a self-development coaching program that uses Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces as a framework for navigating change. Through the Hero's Journey-also known as the Monomyth-we'll explore timeless stories and myths, psychological concepts, and real-life experiences to better understand the challenges we face in order to transform and grow. Rather than viewing life's obstacles as something to simply endure, Into the Woods invites participants to see life's challenges as opportunities to form a different relationship with adversity. For our own increased agency, resilience, and self-discovery. The goal is to leave with greater clarity, confidence, and practical tools for navigating the journey of transformation ahead.

What Into the Woods Isn't

To become the hero of our own story means learning how to face our own battles. But before we begin that journey together, let's talk about a few things that Into the Woods isn't.

Into the Woods is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or a substitute for working with a licensed mental health professional. While the program does explore personal growth, self-reflection, and life's challenges, it is offered solely through the lens of coaching and personal development.

Into the Woods is also not a crisis support program or a space designed to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require therapeutic treatment, please seek support from a licensed mental health professional or reach out to your local resources through 988 or 211.

Lastly, Into the Woods and The Hero's Journey isn't reserved for a particular race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or physical ability. The invitation is open to anyone who is willing to answer the call!

This group is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community where individuals from all backgrounds, identities, beliefs, and lived experiences are valued and respected. Into the Woods is not about changing who you are or asking you to become someone else. Instead, it is about uncovering a more authentic version of yourself.

What You Can Expect

Each session of Into the Woods is designed to provide a balance of discussion, education, reflection and skill-building. Each group will be based on the chapters from The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell and will be the core of group discussions and reflective exercises learned in sessions. We will utilize this framework to work through our own life transitions and connect our own journeys to the Monomyth.

By the end of the program, you'll leave with greater clarity and practical strategies for navigating life's challenges through this journey called life. With a personalized roadmap to help guide this chapter of your life, and the next.

What Makes Into the Woods Unique

Into the Woods: A Guide Through Your Hero's Journey is a new way of exploring personal development and overcoming adversity. This group is a combination of the celebration of story-telling and our own life experiences while learning how to grow from a place of uncertainty. Throughout the program, we'll draw inspiration from mythology, literature, history, psychology, and modern storytelling to uncover timeless patterns of growth and transformation. By recognizing these patterns in the stories around us, we will begin to recognize how our own stories also fit                  into this narrative.
